About Dr. Andrew Campbell-Lloyd

Dr Andrew Campbell-Lloyd is a Specialist Plastic Surgeon and a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS Plast.) who has trained throughout Australia and in the UK.

Dr Campbell-Lloyd's private practice is dedicated to cosmetic and reconstructive breast surgery.

Aesthetic Surgery

Aesthetic breast surgery continues to evolve, and breast implant safety is a topic of concern for many women. Dr Campbell-Lloyd has focused his aesthetic interests on the development of "implant-free" techniques for breast enhancement, and on corrective surgery for patients with previous complicated or failed breast implant procedures performed elsewhere. He has extensive experience performing these challenging procedures, and has developed a number of techniques which allow patients to regain a totally natural, aesthetically pleasing breast.

Many women are concerned about the long-term repercussions of breast implants. Dr Campbell-Lloyd believes that with the right techniques, it is possible to enhance or rejuvenate the breast without implants. There is no one-size-fits-all approach to aesthetic breast surgery, and we encourage our patients to fully explore their options.

Reconstructive Surgery

Breast reconstruction surgery (after breast cancer) is a vital part of cancer treatment. Breast reconstruction provides tremendous aesthetic and functional benefits. With the benefit of his extensive training and experience, Dr Campbell-Lloyd offers all forms of breast reconstruction. Breast Reconstruction can (in selected cases) be offered at the time of mastectomy, or as a delayed procedure at any time (whether months, or years) after mastectomy. Breast reconstruction may also be a consideration for women who have developmental breast differences including tuberous breasts and breast hypoplasia.

As part of his reconstructive practice, Dr Campbell-Lloyd is increasingly correcting breast reconstructions performed elsewhere, and he is one of a very small number of surgeons who offer this. We see patients seeking revision of their breast reconstruction surgery particularly after prior implant-based breast reconstruction, to alleviate pain, improve function and optimise aesthetics.

Background

Dr Campbell-Lloyd graduated from the University of Queensland in 2005. After completing his Plastic Surgery training in Adelaide in 2014, Dr Campbell-Lloyd first moved to London (where he held the post of Senior Microsurgery Fellow at St Thomas' Hospital), and then returned to Australia to establish his private practice on the Gold Coast, with a focus on corrective breast surgery. From 2016 to 2021, he held public appointments as a Consultant Plastic Surgeon at the the Gold Coast University Hospital, and at the Mater Hospital Brisbane.

In 2022, Dr Campbell-Lloyd decided to close his Gold Coast based practice to pursue new challenges, and in 2023 he returned to Adelaide where he continues his work providing corrective and restorative procedures for women from all over Australia.
